A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide) has been updated to reflect the latest good practices in project management. The primary change to the guide is the addition of agile methodology. Agile practices are included alongside traditional approaches in the Sixth edition. PMI® partnered with Agile Alliance® to create the new Agile Practice Guide.
The PMBOK® Guide – Sixth Edition and Agile Practice Guide were created to complement each other. Together these two publications present solutions for project delivery professionals working in the entire spectrum of approaches — from predictive (or waterfall) to cutting edge agile methodologies.
PMI® members can download their free copy of the PMBOK® Guide and Agile Practice Guide online at PMI.org.
Non-PMI® members can purchase a copy of these guides for a cost of $99.
The PMP® Exam will change in order to be aligned with the new edition. When the PMP® exam will change has not been officially released, however it will be during 1st quarter of 2018.
